My wife is now the owner of a new notebook with Win 7 Home preloaded. She
wants to use Office 2003 Pro but we've read it doesn't work with Win 7 Home
- is that true? Do we have to get 2007/2010?

I'm using Office 10 as well and I love it. So far she's totally balking at
Win 7 (it doesn't work like XP!) and she hates Office 10. Oh well.

I've been struggling to get my HP PSC7250 AIO to work consistently with my
laptop running Win 7 Pro x64 over the network (if anyone out there has been
able to do so pls email me). In any case during my last install attempt I
used HP's drivers and software suite for Win 7 x64 and it couldn't find
I took delivery of a brand spanking new Vaio CW with Win 7 Pro earlier this
month and for the most part it's been great. Great except for the part
where it crashes overnight. I talked to a coworker and he thinks it's due
to the defragger running - I did have it scheduled to run 3 times a week

Yesterday I decided to try and get my Hauppauge Win TV USB 2 working with my

I have a copy of Nero 7.10 on my notebook and recently installed Nero Mobile on

I've been asked to look for notebooks for my office that have built-in serial
ports. We've already used USB-to-serial adapters and port multipliers with
mixed success; we are kind of leery of using PCMCIA serial ports. And we'd
like to use these notebooks on the go so docks are out of the

I put out a proposal here at the office to get a number of notebooks and in
order to keep them all in the same state, we'd ghost one and apply the image to

My parents recently bought a camcorder that saves content to a DVD (Hitachi
