This looks like a fairly straightforward béchamel type sauce. So it should work
for a lot of different things. If you add a bit of ground black pepper (to
taste) and mix it in the pan you used to cook sausage you can turn it into a
good southern cream gravy for use on biscuits. (The American

I add seasoning to mine. Along with the onion, I add some minced garlic to the
meat. I also salt
and pepper the mashed potatoes well and add celery seed or coriander or parsley
to the cream soup. Try that and it should be scrumptious. I also add peas and
carrots. One can should do it.

I determine by the number of cookies I want to fit and their size. Large
cookies usually require the largest sheet and only fit about 9. You can fit
about 12 mediam cookies on it and about 15 if they are small. I believe the
largest cookie cheets are 14 by 16, mediuam 13 by 9, and small 10 by

the largest of these to be refered to as a jelly roll pan. But there have been
times when I am making a large amount of cookies I will use that pan along

That's okay. I meant to say I'm talking about sheet cake recipes. When they
say to pour the batter on a cookie sheet, but they don't say which size to use.

Not to get into semantics, but this is a cottage pie; a true shepherds pie is
made with ground lamb, not beef. I was misguided when it came to this up until
a few years ago.

This is how I make my Shepherd's pie pretty much.
I don't measure the mashed potatoes though.
And I don't use cheese.

I'd just use the biggest one I had. You could fit more cookies on a bigger one,
than you could a smaller one.
But that's just me.

In some cookbook I've seen--it could have been the Betty Crocker one, it told
about the cookie sheets. I think it was something like the cookie sheet should
have enough air room around it so air could circulate and the cookies cook
evenly. But I'm afraid I don't remember where I saw that.
I have three different sizes of cookie sheets. When a recipe says a large
cookie sheet, it does mean the largest one, right? In many recipe, it just
says cookie sheet, so how do you know which size to use?
