Hi Martin,
We researched and couldn't find anything out there that did everything we
needed for a coworking space. So two years ago we built our own CRM which
includes member profiles on our public site and will include a payment
gateway shortly.
At this year's unconference we discussed
Part1: How we started in 2009 http://bit.ly/GBAV5I
Part2: Year 2010 http://bit.ly/GVe2wR
to be continued!!! Join our team. Report on and from your coworking
space. Share your coworking experiences so that we can develop
coworking together!!!
Greetings from CoWorking News, Felix

I've been looking for a people-centric CRM for a long time and, like Iris
suggests, haven't found anything that's quite right.
The issue I've had is that CRMs are more focused on dealflow than on the
people involved in the deal. Much like all of the coworking finding tools
out there that are
We had a whopping one person show up for our first Jelly but the
conversation was awesome. Even after yesterday's meeting we still had
people signing up. I think there may have been some confusion as to
how the meetings were scheduled. We set them up as recurring meetings
but I think people may
Nadine has come a long way since it's early days and we continue to slowly
make improvements. I have a basic idea of what you mean Alex, but it's
hard for me to say if we are the exact form of member focused that you
talking about. I wouldn't say we are deal focused either. We focus on the
I agree with Alex on the people focus of the software. Since what we were
looking for at NextSpace was a place to hold all of the info we had about our
members it was important that we had a tool that allowed the members to have
access to their profiles and to be able to add personal info
Wouldn't SalesForce be able to satisfy this? From what I've seen, you can add
infinite amount of data fields, etc.
Or is it a combination of LinkedIn's relationships/mutual contacts feature,
with SalesForce's CRM, plus a public-facing chat/collaboration platform?

Hi everyone,
Okay, my first post disappeared. I'm not sure why. Apologies in
advance if it resurrects itself. I've been reading this forum for a
few weeks. It's incredibly informative. Nonetheless, I find myself in
a situation, and I can't find an exact answer. My partner and I are

You are describing a triple net lease which requires the tenant to pay
other expenses in addition to rent including taxes, insurance and
common area maintenance. What I don't understand is why YOU are paying
the broker fee. Maybe this is standard in your area or the agent is
double dipping. I do
Yes it's normal as a NNN lease. As a buyer you shouldn't be paying the $3800
for your brokerage fees either, especially when this broker should be answering
these questions for you as your representation as opposed to a coworking wiki.
Also, you don't need a 5 year lease to make sure your rate
I have had this happen in our new location. Several of the other
businesses wanted to access our wifi since it's by far the fastest and
best in the building. I actually turned them all down even though some
were willing to pay. Wifi is our most prized physical amenity and
without it we wouldn't
There's a new startup for commercial real estate finding that's currently
only limited to the bay area but aspires, as all internet startups do, for
world domination.

One interesting thing of note: they let you filter listings based on
leases, shared office, and *coworking*.
Someone in a Facebook group just posted about 42floors.com an hour
ago. I have a listing on https://www.sharedbusinessspace.com/, which
is pretty much the same. No calls from it, but it's there. :-)

There's a whole smattering of directories just for coworking, so I really
just see this as the inevitable intersection of the industries.
I pointed out an inherent problem in all this, though, in this

didn't want to put both in my document, so Parentpreneurs was the
next best thing. maybe better. my husband was thrilled also when he

Just wanted to bring attention back to this. It could be good news for
others. We're sending it to our city councilman.

I am preparing a cash flow projection for a space that is 11,712
square feet. I thought I was being conservative considering the size
of the space, but at the end of the second year I have almost $95K
Cash on Hand. I would appreciate the eyes of a veteran space owner

I am not, repeat NOT, a veteran space owner, but I am trying to build
a biz plan for one. I would be happy to sign an NDA, but I would
dearly love to see that cash flow projection to help me with mine.
Thanks,
