Let's all get real here! It's been a known fact that we could have had engines that utilize alternative fuels for decades! It's the almighty dollar that keeps us using the same type of engine since its conception prior to the turn of the century. We sent men to the moon and back 31 years ago; you mean to tell me that technology could not come-up with a "revolutionary" engine since that time?! Another point of fact; if the powers that be insist on keeping the gas-driven engines,then why can't they build an engine that gets 200 mpg? The fact of the matter is they could if they wanted to-technology dictates that this is a very simple exercise in engineering.However, the oil companies wouldn't be making the billions they do if this was put into practice. So let us all sit back and continue to let the goverment/oil companies tell us that this is how things are going to be whether we like it or not.Either pay our prices, or don't drive or heat your home.We can afford it, the hell with the rest of you! I also find it hard to believe that Posner really believes that info. Whatever you were paid Posner, I hope it was truly worth it to you, because you really sold-out your credibility as a reasonable intelligent person. I mean, after digesting all the info. put forth regarding the murder, how is it that you can think your "spin" on all of it can hold water? Where is your deductive reasoning? Your book did nothing in the way of swaying the public's opinion regarding JFK's murder. -Caveat Lector- If the U.S. were really serious about enforcing drug interdiction at the borders, they coould/would have years ago.Don't tell me that they didn't have the means to completely keep drugs from entering our country. The point is, there never really was a "war on drugs!" It was just a maneuver set in motion to give the impression to the American public that our so-called caring government gave a damn about drug addiction in our country. In reality they could care less. Just ask the CIA. I mean, where would their funding for covert operations come from if not from their drug dealing/importation in this country? It's a multi-faceted scenario and planning put forth by those who really run the show in this country. They first need drugs to keep a good proportion of the public in a stupor so they won't know or realize what the gov. is really up to; or give a damn for that matter. Secondly the need for all this law enforcement would not be needed, and by relation, the prisons would not be as full. Think of the trickle-down affect if many of the jails were closed, if the court system wasn't bursting at the seams due to drug-related offenses, just how many people would be put out of work? All things considered, this gov. could stop the flow of drugs completely; technology dictates that this task is a simple one. It's all about money,always has been. My God! What would ever become of our DEA? What would all the other inteligence agencies do with all the extra time on their hands? DRUG WAR? Never happened; never will! What I believe happened was someone was monitoring his radio transmissions to the airport,after hearing the last call, they realized how close he was to the airport and the subsequent landing. So it was at that moment,(after the call) they needed to bring down the plane. If they waited just alittle longer, the plane would have been that much closer to land, which would have made the recovery so much easier.This also would have afforded the pubic access to the crash site, being so close to shore. This is something they just could not afford to happen. Too many people would have seen the remains of the wreckage if not the bodies. Also Buzz Aldrin's explanation of the footage shot from the space shuttle regarding the UFO seen traveling toward earth, then seen traveling in the opposite direction a split second later at a phenominal speed with two mysterious objects that seem to be missles of some kind streaking after it. There were also some astrnomers who tried to explain the UFO the policeman saw right above his head as Mercury, and the cop's car stalling-out as he approached the UFO as "coincidence."
