thanks for the backtrace. it crashes in LibRaw::packed_load_raw() .. i
guess we should detect those file extensions and just never try to load
them..

to handle them well. I did not perceive any problems at all except that
the load was slower than usual.
Looks like 'work-arounds' are not needed now.
