I can't seem to get this patch to work. Without libssl-dev installed in
the building chroot this fails for me. Can you revisit this, and check
where you might have missed something? I used a clean unstable
cowbuilder chroot for building with this patch.

ood catch - sorry for the inconvenience! What you can do as a
workaround: First upgrade irssi-plugin-otr and then install irssi. Or
somehow force-install it with dpkg. I'll roll out a -2, and I'm sorry
that I missed that part. The helpfile will move over to the
irssi-plugin-otr package.

Could you maybe add an strace of the startup (potenti
matically built irssi-dbgsym one), step into
gdb and p that item's window to debug it further? That would help
upstream a lot. In case it still happens to you with current versions.

You can safely remove the .conf part from there, if you want you can
pass it for proof reading through debian-l10n-ger...@lists.debian.org
but for that change I am quite certain that isn't needed.

repository, but my python is pretty limited to be able to provide a
patch for that.
Said that, that doesn't mean I object to ejabberd supporting seperated
files, but that's something for upstream to handle.
