I can confirm this.
Removing python-wxgtk3.0 and installing python-wxgtk2.8 + phatch from
stable fixes the bug.

I update python-wxgtk3 to 3.0.1.1+dfsg-1.
I'm using python 2.7.6-2 and python-imaging 2.5.1-1.
