Copying repository for offline install

I'm trying an offline install with DVD media. When an offline install gets to the stage where it is copying the install media's package list(s) to the target computer - just before package selection - and the user needs to change shuffle the DVD, the DVD drive door is still locked and won't open.

I have just completed building 4.0r1 i386 cd images using debian-cd from svn and discovered a kernel/module mismatch. This meant that I could not see if apt-cdrom add was working properly. Is there an eta for the iso images and is apt-cdrom add working? This is an equiry, not a complaint.
