Having a good
dialog with you upstream is useful in many cases. Even if you currently
can work out what you need sooner or later you'll likely run into an
issue which is easier to work out with upstreams help.

think that's the suitable one.)

Your postrm file seems to contain nothing useful. Just remove it and
it'll be completely generated when needed. Following earlier advice

You might want to consider dropping the attached patch in
debian/patches/ and adding debian/patches/series containing it's
name to preserve default file configuration under both init systems.

Is there any reason why you did not include those changes?
Won't your updated version conflict with packages who now ships their

(Also I'm not sure about separating the changelog on a per-file

to personal taste and different people do it differently.)

sting users will work out. If you
see no other way than the local sysadmin doing manual changes, then
atleast write about this in debian/NEWS (see man dh_installchangelogs)
and possibly also write some guidance in debian/README.Debian about
how the integration works in Debian specifically and how the old
installations configuration maps to the new.
