Win9x and WinMe do, yes. And they're both virtually retired by
Microsoft. The WinNT line hasn't had anything much to do with DOS,
except for the WoW core which allows DOS programs to run in a window.

Personally, I have no interest in .NET as yet. If I have to use it I
will, but until then... C++ Builder suits me just fine :
You have read the Open Letter to C++ Builder users haven't you? C++BuilderX

Has anyone had any experience using this to create an XML document from scratch ?
Any examples I could have a look at ?

Its pretty straightforward really. Import the MSXML type library into your

function GetRootNode(AText : String) : IXMLDOMNode;
var

begin
Document := CoDOMDocument.Create;
Document.LoadXML(AText);

A batch in SQL server is basically one or more queries executed in series by

Any idea how big a gap between the SQL is required for it to count as a new
batch? So I can have 100 users each doing and Query every now and then
without any performance hit?

Rob,
You as a programmer decide what is a batch. Every time you execute a query
against SQL server, it is one batch - within reason, size does not matter -
it can be one simple statement, one complex statement or multiple
statements. The only limitations are stored procedure and function
You do not have to develop in SQL server, you can use MSDE. Install the SQL
server client tools that come with Small Business Server - the client
installation is separate from the server install.
