Subject: [DUG]: octane I have been reading the borland open
letter to the delphi community, and the very agitated comments posted on the
article.
Im a little unclear as to what to expect
with delphi 8. Can someone clear some things up for me
please.
In light of the fact that they are
saying
Therefore, we have increased our focus on .NET technology in Octane, - the
next Delphi release - to 100%. This is an adjustment to our previously published
plan which had included an update to our Win32 Delphi technology in the Octane
release.
i ask:
Will the win32 compiler still be in
place? Can i still use webbroker for further development of my apps if i
upgrade?
Was snatching up that deal on Delphi
Studio 7 with Upgrade advantage a waste of time and money? in the comments i found:
Delphi for Win32 will continue to evolve as a product line in parallel with
Delphi for .NET
does this mean we need to purchase two
seperate products to develop in win32 and .net??????
Im confused
