The Disk Utility cannot edit partitions (create, delete, LUKS) on GPT-
based drives with a size bigger than MBR-based drives would support.

Just noticed: When you remove all partitions in gparted, the partition
table is still GPT. But according to Disk Utility, there is no partition
table. Looks like GPT is not recognized even though there is mention of
having GPT knowledge in the above error message.

The same happens with the gtk greeter.
The problem here is, that lightdm/xorg mirrors the display per default (at
least with intel drivers, not with nvidia tho), so on both monitors i see the
lightdm login screen and with one monitor being lower resolution, the second
monitor gets the lower
WIth disabled splash it actually boots to console every time.

review the patch. In the event that this is in fact not a patch you can
resolve this
i absolutely disagree with the change to invalid. why would you do
that? show me any other program that has print menu which stops
working after 5 minutes? this is insane.
if the connection is closed by cups due to timeout, libre should simply
reopen it. this is the real solution.

... and Malcom was just posting a workaround, not a solution...
