I close bug for aptdaemon since I don't see how we could improve the
situation from the daemon side.
The transaction is in the STATUS_WAITING_LOCK state. INMHO software-
center should raise the visibility of this state e.g. by showing a
persistent in-window notification if the transaction is in
$DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS is empty. I am currently having trouble with
Unity crashing on startup (bug #1072329). The issue with Tomboy started
before the one with Unity appeared though.

Solution if you want to fix it permanently yourself without patching
udisks - see Bug #1093901 comment #3 - worked for me.
- Problem was nested extended partition
- Easy check that you are affected - sudo fdisk -l /dev/sda (if problematic
disk is /dev/sda) returns first row omitting empty
