William, I have a few thoughts on the impossibility of keyboard input. I
remembered that after upgrading to 13.10 this bug was fixed by removing
or restart ibus. But in 14.04 removing ibus will remove many other

use that bug for the SRU verification process since ~ubuntu-sru is
already subscribed there.
Romain, could you install htop and run the htop command from command
line to see what process is causing high CPU usage?
Maximize the terminal window, start htop and sort processes by CPU% (F6,
then choose PERCENT_CPU).

I can confirm, that the patch was successful. I installed evolution-
data-server 3.10.4-0ubuntu1.1 from trusty-proposed and evolution won't
freeze any more when I go to calendar view. Thanks!

an SRU for it here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-
settings-daemon/+bug/1318673. For anyone who is affected by this bug
under GNOME Shell, please use that bug for SRU testing and verification.
