Ok so I'm attaching the dpkg -l output after my tests. I found no
obvious issues with the fix in ppa2.
I also tested the ppa2 on a freshly installed Ubuntu 20.04 and found no
obvious issues. The team might want to consider deploying this fix and
see if it could help more users and get their feedba

I only had gsconnect enabled (sorry, I forgot about that), all other were
disabled and some uninstalled long ago (like pop-shell and cast-to-tv).

Since 10 days the same effect (copy/paste broken) is visible in Ubuntu
18.04, also outside from Libre Office. Copy to clipboard is shown in

After upgrading to proposed packages, I can also confirm that unfortunately the
bug is still present. But its effects are much less than previous.
I copied an image from Telegram and I was unable to paste it in Firefox (in a
textbox where I could paste to it usually). However, I could paste it in
ok let me try. I tried to upgrade another VM from 18.04 to 20.04 to do
this, but I didn't experience any copy and paste issues by doing so.
The affected VM was from 19.10 to 20.04. I will test the VM out with

after my laptop-screen goes off (automatic locking of workstation) and i
retouched it to go on again, i see some flickering on the external
monitor with background-image, but it looks like there was heavy load so
that login-screen wasn't displayed (see also background on internal
screen)...have now

Wow, this is a frustating issue! It took me hours to figure out, simply
because I couldn't believe what most solutions for older Ubuntu releases
told me: it's broken out of the box and I need to fiddle with samba
internals.
Yes a simple "sudo smbpasswd -a myusername" is sufficient to make it work
Still can't use different scales on my monitors. Need to set 125% on my
32" and 150% on my 43", but it freaks out even with the update on the
proposed channel. Still have to set 150% only on the 32", let it jump
both monitors to 200%, then tweak it in nvidia-settings.

1. The default display mode of File Manager is tiled , support double-click to
open files with touch normally
2. Click on the top right corner to set the tiled mode to list-view mode , at
this time, the touch does not support double-click operation and cannot open
the file
I tried test it on 3.36 on ubuntu 20.04, this issue is fixed. So could
we backport the patch into 3.26 in bionic? Thanks!

Hi,
i try to use external monitor on my dell G5 2019 (5590). works on ubuntu
18.4 (after reboot) using prime-select nvidia.
did this on 20.4 (prime-select + reboot because logoff/login again still
don't work) and it hang on boot while showing ubuntu boot
