the Lua code. I cannot see anything wrong: Lua calls fopen(filename,
r) which returns a valid FILE pointer, then it calls getc(fp) and then

Good find, yeah that sounds similar. Probably these apps just don't use
gsettings yet. Maybe a bugfix then would just be to special case: any
string present in the server fields indicates HTTP proxy on when gluing
gsettings - gconf.

I have the same error message on Ubuntu 11.04 with Banshee 2.0 syncing
with iPod 4G IOS4. The error occurs *after* the transfer of files to the
iPod, at the moment of writing media database. Afterwards, nothing has
(visibly) changed on the iPod. :-(

I seemed to get it back just now. I realized that the Find toolbar was
attached vertically, with no text field. When I detached it from there,
and attached it horizontally or freed it, the text field showed up.

OK, just now I backed up /usr/share/themes/Ambiance to
/usr/share/themes/Ambiance.DIST and made the same three trivial changes
to the them -- changed selected_bg_color from #f07746 to #008ab8 in
gtk-3.0/settings.ini, gtk-3.0/gtkrc, and gtk-2.0/gtkrc -- and switched
to this updated Ambiance theme.
For me it looks exactly like the broken screenshot in #1. Has been that
way with 11.04 and no changes in 11.10 on both my pc and notebook. Have
never seen a screen like in #2.

After reading bug #828756, I do not believe this is the same bug. Also,
