So... I think I followed your last comment and did some more research..
If I can try to summarize briefly, what your saying is that to
understand if your new patch works (which I believe is the goal so that
ultimately it might be moved forward), we need to prove that it solves
our issue.
I am not sure I am following. To be clearer, I have multiple other

walkpaper, user themes and workspace indicator. It is just the desktop
icons one that I can't install or work with. I do already have gnome-

- Used sudo apt remove gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons to uninstall
- Deleted the folder $HOME/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/desktop-
icons@csoriano
- Rebooted and verified it is gone all together from tweaks
-
Nevermind, I figured out its just sudo apt remove gnome-shell-extension-

I did that and its completely gone from /usr now. However, I no longer
have the extension at all. I reran the steps to install the patch
version and I don't see the extension, so I must be missing a step
How do you uninstall it properly? I enabled it through the

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04
Package:
I have the same problem. I ran Pop!_OS 20.04 from USB and the bluetooth
worked fine. And after doing a clean install, bluetooth also worked. But
when I did the initial updates, I had the same problem: device appeared
in settings and connected, but no sound. Something in the initial
updates messed
Public bug reported:
File /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/90-nvidia.conf contains
"type=xlocal" but this gives "WARNING: Seat type 'xlocal' is deprecated,
use 'type=local' instead" in lightdm.log.

We could use gfxpalyload blacklist, to mark certain nvidia cards there.
And then gfxpayload will not be set to keep, and then vt.handoff will
not be appended.
See grub-gfxpayload-lists package, and files in /usr/share/grub-
gfxpayload-lists/blacklist/
My current preference would be the gdm3 fix.
However dropping vt.handoff is not regression free it may impact
flavours that use lightdm.

I have completed the install and configuration of lirc manually, but I
feel these issues should be resolved to simplify use of lirc by others.
