I have a set of backups from a machine which started with Ubuntu 12.04
and was upgraded a few weeks ago to 13.10. The backups were created via
deja-dup. I'm trying to restore on a Machine Running Linux Mint (

Yes that's right, I stopped it because it didn't stop itself, that's what I
tried to say in comment #8.
Despite running chromium-browser -g --no-sandbox, I don't get back to the
prompt. Any other suggestions on how I can make the browser crash to get the
SIGSEGV backtrace?

can confirm this problem exists in 13.10
tried the workarounds with pacat but to no avail, but there is some
strange but consistent behaviour:
initially the latency is around the sub 50ms mark, but every 10secs it
increases exponentially until you get a 1sec delay
