was auto-updated from 1.5 to 1.6.

DoubleMetaphoneFilter for that specific case. Otherwise it would be better to

So why don't we simply deprecate the feature in 4.x and remove it from 5.0?

The easiest way to resolve this would be to make LuceneQParser public, like
most of the other QParsers already is. Any objection to this? It would also
make it possible for company X to put their extended QParser in their own
package namespace.

When creating a custom Solr QParser, I extended LuceneQParser which is
protected scope
as such.
So I'm OK if you guys rather want to start improve the ROLLBACK API instead of
deprecating it. A client should be certain that ALL docs since last commit gets
rolled back, else the rollback command must fail.

I think also we'd need a new SolrDeletionPolicy which keeps at least the last
explicit user COMMIT, even if Autocommit/CommitWithins have happened after.
