try 'cvs remove' the -R option (process directories recursively) is on by default. I'd like to point out that if we were using Darcs instead of CVS, this operation would be really easy :-) darcs remove -r folder/ I'm a big fan of Darcs. It rocks. Well, I'm a big fan of Subversion ;)
