Yes, this should be avoided if possible. Let's try to avoid

Symbolically reverting the patch again and then back out is something

We normally don't allow incompatible API changes. They allowed only for

the new hsqldb source zip is named hsqldb-2.2.9.zip
with the MD5 sum: c2a47e08e95cdff1dc9bb2f8dd73d553-hsqldb-2.2.9.zip

You have to adapt the makefiles for this change, they are expecting
"_" instead of "-" and "."

The attached patch fix unzipping the sources (you'll get more problems
to fix after that).

It is a bit strange that you seem to be the only one that reports this

This is the updated portion

MD5 = c2a47e08e95cdff1dc9bb2f8dd73d553

URL2 = $(OOO_EXTRAS)$(MD5)-$(name)

For the makefile I updated the CONVERTFILES and PATCH_FILES variable to
"". I tried to use Opengrok to locate where unpack is being created, I
found main/solenv/inc/tg__ext.mk but that seems to be just using the
variable defined in other files.

A continuación encontrará

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%ADa_Internacional_de_la_Lengua_Materna
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movimiento_por_la_Lengua_Bengal%C3%AD

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaheed_Minar,_Dhaka
en la universidad de Dhaka, en Bangladesh. Cada año más de un millón de
personas dejan flores allí. Este es un gran evento en Bangladesh. Muchos

http://openoffice.apache.org/mission.html

OpenOffice. Con su ayuda
http://openoffice.apache.org/translate.html
podemos dar soporte a cientos de lenguas. Una lista de las lenguas soportadas
actualmente se encuentra aquí
https://translate.apache.org/projects/OOo_34/
. Contáctenos si puede ayudar.

just added one or two comments but nothing particularly substantial. Regina
made MANY good suggestions.

Any progress to simplify for end users is good.

Thank you Fabrizio, I reviewed the translation and it's fine, I just
linked, in the Italian translation only and directly online, the word
"Italia" to
http://rete.comuni-italiani.it/wiki/Bari/Monumento_ai_Martiri_del_Bangladesh
(so that curious people can easily find out where the Italian monument is).

Given the occasion, I would suggest to credit translators too in the post.

 Thanks to Khan for the background information and Robin for the logo
 design.

 1. Proofreading is always appreciated.

 2. Robin, maybe you could make a version of the logo with transparent
 background rather than white?

 3. Since we are commemorating International Mother Language Day,
 translations of the blog post are most welcome. If you can send me a
 translation by end of day Tuesday I can add it to the post. Or if you
 host a translation externally we can link to it.

 4. I plan on posting on Wednesday afternoon, New York time, so we
 cover February 21st across all time zones.

 Thanks!

Re: java 7 patch

2013-02-19 Thread Fred Ollinger
I think that Pedro pointed out that this is redundant as there all
ready is a patch that fixes this and more issues.

I was going to eventually grab Pedro's linked patch and test it on a
fresh install.

At any rate, I suggest that you apply one of the java fixes (mine or
the other one, I don't care which) soon if we are really going to drop
java6 like others had told me.

Sincerely,

Fred

[blog]: request for review of a draft for a short blog post

2013-02-19 Thread Jürgen Schmidt
Hi,

many of you have potentially seen that news of MS that a license Office
2013 is bound to one computer. O´k it is already reverted in Germany and
you can get a free activation code after you have called MS. But I think
we can post a short note that AOO can used and shared as often people
want or as often they need once they have downloaded it.

https://blogs.apache.org/preview/OOo/?previewEntry=openoffice_downloaded_once_used_and

I also add a not that we are interested in any success stories of bigger
deployments and shared experiences.

Well it's just an idea and the wording and the image has to be improved,
I can need help. Feedback is welcome.

Re: [Test Plan] AOO 4.0 test plan

2013-02-19 Thread Joost Andrae

Hi,

maybe you feel I'm nitpicking but I'm missing some details about
available test methods

- Unit test automation
- API test automation
- UI test automation

From my understanding AOO test automation currently includes all of
them. I think a unit test should be part of the build verification test
because it's part of the AOO source code that needs to be checked.

   I draft an overall test plan[1] in wiki. Please review and feedback with
your suggestion. Any comments are welcome.

Hi all,

 I believe it's time to think about how should we test AOO 4.0 release. Now
there is lots QA volunteer helping on defect confirmation and verification,
we should move forward on feature testing, e.g. side panel, template and

Yes, the merge result you pasted above doesn't look right. In the patch
the lines marked with a "+" at the start mean that they are to be
inserted. So the resulting code for your example would look like this:

   MenuItem
   {
  Identifier = FN_SAVE_GRAPHIC ;
  HelpID = FN_SAVE_GRAPHIC ;
  Text [ de ] = "~Grafik speichern..." ;
  Text [ en-US ] = "Save ~Graphic..." ;
  };
  MenuItem
  {
   Identifier = FN_FORMAT_GRAFIC_DLG ;
   HelpID = FN_FORMAT_GRAFIC_DLG ;
   Text [ de ] = "~Grafik..." ;

The patch with the '+' is a so called "unified diff" [1]. Lines with a
'+' at the start are added, lines with a '-' at the start are removed.
Once you get used to it you'll see that they are quite easy to read.

[1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_diff#Unified_format

Usually one doesn't need to apply a patch by hand. There are tools for
this that make it quite easy. The most prominent one is accidentally
called "patch" [2]

Hope this helps,

Sorry for the OpenOffice-unrelated suggestion, but the only way I am
able to reproduce your problem is by putting something on my F7 key that

so Word won't "solve" the problem if it is a keyboard issue!)

If instead it is clearly related to OpenOffice, please open a bug report
