I have tried the 2 digital SPDIF inputs on the PRIMARE processor. Their are also 2 digital optical TOSLink inputs, but I haven't tried these because I do not have such a cable. But do you expect that connecting to the TOSLink solves the problem ? If so, then I will immediately buy such a cable.

You're almost certainly going to have to update to newer versions of some of your plugins, since it is likely some of them had to change to work with 7.0. I don't think there's a way around that. But other than that, I don't think there are serious risks. 7.0 was one of the most pain free

If you are happy with your current version and you don't plan on getting a Duet, no reason to upgrade. I found the web interface performance of 7.0 to be much better than 6.5.x. Additionally, my SB1 would occasionally get dropouts under 6.5, but it never happens under 7.0. And now I own a Duet.

I have 5 SBs (3xSB2,1xSB2 1 SBR) and for me sync is important although only mainly for 2 of these the Kitchen (SB2) and Living room (SB3). Additionally though two more also downstairs in my wife's office (SB2) and my cubby hole (SBR) are, by default, synced to the other two when on. Gapless

because of that chart's design, products in columns, features in rows, it would be a rather hellish exercise to have to migrate a column from current products to discontinued products whenever a product reaches end-of-life. Regardless, let's wait until the migration to mediawiki is complete
