My current router is plugged directly into the phoneline i.e. it's an
all in one modem and wireless router.
The new set up will be a separate cable modem plus a separate DSL/cable
compatible router. The Virgin Media chap told me I couldn't use my
existing router with the new cable modem.
The press release has made its way to a few places now.
Pretty well everyone using the same 2 pictures (i.e. from a press pack)
- although the one I found for my blog includes the
mini-magnetic-remote.

Hello, I've just updated to SqueezeCenter Version: 7.1 - 22170 Windows
XP - EN - cp1252 after running 7.0 fairly happily for months. I have
music ip setup with over 15000 tracks, no problems until now.
Just updated to the latest build yesterday, and squeezecentre, set to
scan only for changes
I want to bump this too. It seems to me that SC needs a quick fix to
search for either itunes music library.xml OR itunes library.xml.
Shouldn't be too hard should it?

I'm not sure that is a problem since I can open SC, scan my music
library, include a plugin (for XM) etc. through 127.0.0.1.
Does the fact that localhost does not resolve to the above indicate the
problem is there?

I don't think it's an encoding issue. All I have to do is turn the SB3
on, not play anything, and the sound is there. It almost sounds like a
high frequency oscillation.

It does the same things the Duet does, just better, plus it has many

I have the A2's, the Boom sounds better, particularly in the bass. One
thing the A2s have going for them is seperation (as they can obviously
be moved further apart) but the StereoXL processing on the Boom does a
pretty good job of widening the soundstage.

competitive $299. Meanwhile, the classic Squeezebox is at that same
price point. Surely the SB has some audio advantages over the Boom,
but then again, the Boom is complete with a set of speakers and amps to

checked the release notes and I didn't see anything about end of

There were some changes scheduled for 7.2 but they have been pushed out

Also, the Transporter comes with its own infrared remote, which works
with the Transporter but not with the SB Receiver. So if you got a
Transporter you could control with the IR remote and/or the SB
Controller, and you could redploy the SBR to another room, and control

I have discovered that this problem occurs once I select more than about
20 tracks in the current playlist.
If I clear the current playlist and start again with no tracks
selected, it then works ok until the playlist contains about 20
