Does quick rescan remove entries in the database from deleted files?
Also it didn't seem to change entries, I had a album titled say
SHANIA I changed that to Shania Twain but it didn't move change it.
A bit annoying everytime I change things it might require a full scan.

using windows, you could just use robocopy (free utility - dl from
msoft) to mirror from your server to your player.
I use it to backup my music collection to external drives.

Closed the SQL process and fully cleaned the cache.
Seems like the Clean and fully rebuild option from the squeeze

No, it must be in the tags somewhere.
What file format are they? Look for both ID3v1 tags AND APEv2 tags,
check the wiki article posted earlier.
Make sure you're only looking at ID3v2 tags, and check the Extended
Tags dialog box too.
If all else fails you can hit the file with a very big

that MusicIP got from some other planet. Fortunately, there is a way

Inspired by Marth, I checked / refreshed the system time on my Ubuntu
server which runs Squeezecenter; (it looks like it wasn't being updated
correctly)
And this seems to have resolved the issue immediately; my SB2 + Boom
now sync perfectly.

Never thought of that as I don't use them, but good point.
Still, they are buried in there somewhere! I had one wayward tag that
I put up with for years - Lynyrd Skynyrd was misspelled

Wasn't pretty. But it's working again, and it seems to sound better
than it did before. Just had to change the analogue switch and DAC.

That's a fundamental and purposeful design decision. A minor error in
