Also if you mount the drive over the network and have it always conected to the pi , when you transfer files they will usually get the rigth user if you set up things correctly . Linux system can be a bit finicky with users and file rigths.

That could be a WiFi problem it's getting iffy with anything but 100% signal strength 58% as you have may suffice for low rate MP3 can be that LMS transcodes pandora then again you are at flac rates , and server is also a bit old 7.9.1 is out now but that’s probably unrelated to the problems.

Artis , genre , album view etc ( composer , album artist ) should,give you album covers . These view are built by the scanner based on your file tagging including artwork . The file system browser does not do that .it does with it says on the tin.

Roon bussines model is not viable for squeezebox either . Software = open source LMS = no revenue . Squeezebox = DIY our own rpi3 = no revenue . Enhanced interlinked metadata so that you can build a roon like UX = licensed and costly (se all the trouble our comunity had with the lyrics plugin

I think there is a step method and slew option in NTP dependent on the config of it . Slew slowly syncs the clcoks and it may not go backwards in time ? It slows down and catch up when the real time has the same time . The reasoning is that there are programs that react badly to sudden time

The suggested logging can be of some interest . When I tried Tidal . I think about >80% off stuff was FLAC . So then you can nag them if your fav album is not yet aviable as flac. Yes the service provides an MP3 file if there is no flac file aviable.

Its also very much suitable for streaming if you you want a freeish codec other than ogg . Yes 320k is pretty much not possible to tell from FLAC or WAV . Caveat use server side decoding , the mp3 decoders in for example SB3 et al are not perfect ive clearly heard artefacts there

Why not use mysqueezebox.com and play a radio station ? Transducers (speakers, headphones) can maybe benefit , from this . Electronics not so much . Otherwise it's usually the user that gets "burned in" as one slowly acclimate one self to the new component
