My recent Samsung Smart TV doesn't output external source analogue

But surely you're not putting in analogue sound? Most TVs will output
PCM on the S/PDIF after decoding the HDMI input from cable tv/games
console etc.
I picked up a 64gb Playbook very cheaply on the promise they will get
the upgrade to BB10 this year.
Anyhow, in the meantime it's doing duty as a Squeezebox controller and I
installed Music2Touch.
Main problem I have is that with approx. 6500 albums, the albums display
takes way, way too long
I'd be up for £100 into a crowd-sourced project.

I'd design it with analogue and S/PDIF outputs in every unit, then have
a 1Tb disk or T-Amp as optional modules for folks who want in-build
storage or amp. Of course Logitech could have done this 2 years ago, and
with a proven s/w stack but they chose to flush

I've always though the Slimdevices buy-out was the scheme of a Logitech
VP who was then let-go, so there was no-one to fight the cause. After
the Google TV epic fail, I expect 'streaming' was the kiss of death to
careers in Logitech.

Looking at the Camridge Stream Magic 6, this IMHO could have been the
Transporter II in 2010. Cambridge are still struggling with the s/w to
do gapless. Logitech never recognised the IPR they had there, and could
have done an blitz on AV Receiver manufacturers etc. who ended up using
crappy DLNA

with a strategy to grow that business has been moved on/fired and no-one

From the Squeezebox Server web interface, select Settings, choose the
wireless radio player and then Audio. There should be drop-down box for
Bitrate Limiting. You need the LAME encoder installed server-side, it'll
tell you if that's not found.

I use a local SBS; how do you point the app at that?
Just put in your mysqueezebox.com login info, and the app will then

Could be the wi-fi was marginal and 6 weeks back another wi-fi router
was installed by neighbours which has clobbered your setup. Try
changing channel on the router.

You can use the Windows Task Scheduler to start a program (ie cmd.exe)
and select wake up computer.
Does that not rely on writing an alarm to the real-time-clock chip?

running and then put the PC into sleep mode.

Are you sure you've configured the Wake-On-LAN correctly in your
Ethernet card via the BIOS?
It should only come out of sleep in response to the 'magic packet', not
any traffic.

rig, just get a s/w client like Winamp installed the Dell Desktop PC.
If you're already a big user of iTunes and like it, then you may find
an Apple Outlook Express is more to your liking and fits in to your
current set-up.

You won't get more than 24/48 from an SB3, even with an external DAC.
Anything more gets re-sampled server-side before sending to the SB3. You
need a Transporter (or Touch...) to get 24/96 on the digital-out.

And now the iPlayer plugin beta can access the 192 ACC streams. On my
TP, these are better then a DAB feed on the S/PDIF input. 128 WMA blows

I checked all the id tags first
Probably a mixture of ID3v1/ID3v2/Vorbis tags. You need mp3tag to clean
tags, read the wiki.
Also, I find it helpful to set the COMPILATION tag so that
Squeezecenter isn't guessing.
