Thats exactly what the big window on the right is. The Windows gadget is
the tiny window, and coincidentally, thats the shortcut for the BBc
iPlayer Today list ;-)

emailed him to ask if he has any interest in reviving the Windows Gadget
or releasing the code for someone else to pickup.

I just tried this on Windows 10 latest, and it works fine.
You need to install http://gadgetsrevived.com/download-sidebar/ in order
to add support for gadgets back in. The you can download the gadget from
the wayback machine and load it in Windows 10.
However, its pretty useless to me at the

reorganizing and re-tag most of my music library. Prior to that, I
shutdown LMS 7.7.2 and removed the installation and all the config,
cache etc. I'm running LMS on a NetGear ReadyNas NVX with 4x 2TB drives

LMS/Squeezebox support, provided a link to the source and he's said
he'll look at it.
I don't think it's quite what you were looking for, but if they add it
to their current ios, android and web apps it might be interesting.

back when I installed it I setup some podcasts, all but one still
works.

setup working, since 12/2010. I first bought the ReadyNas and a Boom,
then added the Touch, then the SqueezePlay and finally a radio. They've
all worked, all synced for at least 18-months.
I have a Squeezebox boom, play and touch, and the Jive/SqueezePC, all
have been working off a ReadyNas running Squeezeserver Version: 7.5.2 -
r31632 since December 2010.
My usage is 60% my local music, 40% live streaming on iplayer recordings
on BBC Radio London. Recently the livestreaming has
