I can't speak about the radio but my experience with sbr's shows they
are very tenacious about talking to their previous AP even if there is
an AP right next to them with a 100% signal.

update my pre/pro, I will be able to try the audio via HDMI. I would
think it may provide better results than the optical out.
Digital is digital (unless you lurk in the audiophiles area. Optical
out should provide nearly identical results to HDMI.

Do you know about DHCP? It might be a relatively new devices is
grabbing an ip that goes to sleep.
DHCP leases on your home network should usually set as long as
possible.

That would be an OVI issue. I do not remember any questions about using
OVI as a music source. There are standards that start with D that are
supported by LMS but the function of devices are seriously hampered.
(By that I do not mean on only one end of the connection.)
