That could be it... and explain why it Works for me...
When I installed my old server (win7) I just enabled WOL on the LAN
interface and in power settings screen off = 5 min, sleep after 20 min.
I can not recall doing anything else.
And when I setup my current server (win8) I did the same.
You have to go to properties on your LAN interface to enable it.
Go to DeviceManager and find your LAN interface.
Then select Advanced tab.
In the list find Wake on magic packet and enable it
It might also be possible that you have to enable something in BIOS

Did you try the 7.6.1 RC version or the sligthly faulty 7.6.0?
FYI with 7.6.0/7.6.1 SBS now use SQLite again, so it is no longer
required to run mysql.
As I have no knowledge about readynas I better leave the advice part to

7.6.0 fullscan is 4 times faster (4min05) than 7.5.x (16 min) with 9000

I had that issue twice when doing a reset.
In both cases I found that the SBS process on the server was eating a
core on the CPU.
I killed it and restarted SBS and I was able to perform the setup.

Why should Logitech use time on this when the community brings out the
solutions much faster; example Sonos just introduced their pad app; we
have at least 2 for Squeeze and they have been around for a while.

It could still be rescanning. I had the problem were it would just do
repeated rescanning ... like it never ended.
Look in your server and scanner logfiles.
Or newt time it happens fire up taskmanager and have a look if there
are processes that eat the CPU

ie hiding the cables and power block.
My old Luxman D-107u player is moved to my home office haven't used
