yesterday I upgraded to 6.1.1 hoping it would be more stable than the
6.0.x I was running (I'v a SB1 wired), however it didn't improve :-(
I set the thing scanning the music library (60+GB), but it was impossible to
listen to music while it was doing that, so I had to stop the music
And the scanning takes forever, I restarted the server, but it's now
used 5 hours of CPU time, that can't be normal!
Do you have symbolic links or playlists in your music folders?

There was a crasher bug in 6.1.1 which has been fixed in latest nightly.

How do you get this flicker to appear? I don't think I've seen it.
For me anyways, it only seems to happen on one of my two wired SB2's.
Set the size to either the small or medium, and the brightness to any
setting other than the dimmest (or off altogether). And have the
date/time
Slimserver is a bit aggressive about gathering song information.
Users often have volumes that become unmounted and so we decided to
let references persist in the hopes that those files will come back.
(If we didn't, then the playlist would be missing tracks.)

So, once I have set up SB2 in the lounge, the PCserver will be running

Current firmware doesn't give you an easy way to get to a web browser-
you have to do it using the game Wipeout Pure. Sony just released a new
firmware version a couple days ago with a proper web browser built in,
but it's Japan only at the moment. Should make it over here soon.

I just put in this fix this afternoon. I used 33pF, 0805-size caps
(forgot to check the dielectric type; they may have been X7R. I can
check and get back to you if you care about that). Anyway, it does
dramatically reduce the noise, but in my case, does not eliminate it.

If I point my browser at http://localhost:9000/ it works OK. If I use
the Slim Server shortcut on the desktop I get the error I described
above. It worked OK with the previous version, so I don't know what
could have changed.

Mark, thanks for confirming this. I think (but I'm only guessing) that
the primary bit rate is what is displayed but realaudio support
dynamically changing the rate on the fly.
I am looking into trying to debug this but at present I'm not getting
much help from the mplayer community.

install are you?
I had the same issues going from 5.4 - 6.1 leaving my original
shortcuts in place. Once I removed them and re-installed (therefore
creating new ones) it all worked fine.

Holding down the buttons does make the list move fast enough, but I
also find that the actual animation of the text makes it very hard to
read at speed - especially noticable when trying to locate a particular
item in a very long list.

One is the ability to manually specify when a song begins and ends in
any given playlist. I have a few songs I'd love to start in past slow
intros and others that go on far too long. A plugin would be
great.
Next, a do not play playlist Any songs on this list are

right of your toolbar? If you get the same error, try going to your
SlimServer installation directory (c:\Program Files\SlimServer for most
people) using Windows Explorer and looking for a file called SlimServer
