CDs. I think it depends on what/how you listen to you music collection.

SBS to downsample 96k 24bit to 48k 24bit. The Touch can handle 96k.

ReplayGain is supposed to be just like turning the volume down (or up...
but most often down)... so if you use ReplayGain and it reduces the
volume of the track and you then turn the volume knob on the amp up you
should be back to square one.
Saying that... I am with you... I am suspicious that
^^ Funny enough, I just read that 20seconds ago on Engadget. Still, the
big question remains when or if we will see Spotify in germany. ;O)

I was just explaining, I think that the sort tags should be added by the
user.
Sorting is not the same as storage folder structure. And even that
will vary particularly for thos with large classical collections.
I would leave it alone.

I'll recheck the 44.1 kHz reading. I also have a
Power supply is good, but I get nothing from my Squeezebox Classic when
connected. Absolutely nothing... No display flicker at all... Dead,

The data I'm talking about does show up on a web query on musicbrainz,
and it also appears to come through the XML WebService API. On the web
page for each artist, it will show up in normal font two lines below the
big bold header of the normalized artist name. For instance:

Found a setting on this router for NAT Endpoint Filtering which was
set to Address restricted I changed it to Endpoint Independent
thinking that might fix the issue but nada.
It the router log file I can see what I believe to be the attempts from
mysqueezebox.com to send the Pandora stream but
I took a look at the man page for
WebService::MusicBrainz::Response::Artist and it does show sort_name
as one of the accessor methods that can used in the query.
However, it's not used by the current version of ripit. But it appears
that ripit could be enhanced to use this information.

I've read a few threads about screensavers being interrupted while in
standby to tell you connectivity has been lost. And the debates around
OFF meaning OFF!
I have a slightly different problem.
If I set the screensaver to time/date or blank, the screen often
flashes up with the NOW PLAYING
If you wish to change posters habits, I think some rules and guidelines
should be created and clearly available to all. Many new arrivals will
struggle with where to post, and be totally unaware of applicable rules.
A sticky might help.
