You used to not be able to download WAV - if you wanted lossless they
shipped it to you on a CDR. I imagine that's where the handling fee
first started. Of course it makes no sense now it's just another

I read that the cover art downloaded in iTunes 7 keeps all the artwork
in a separate artwork directory,

I assume SlimServer doesn't (yet) know about this.

Yes, its in a different folder. But it doesn't keep the artwork as

can get Richard to post about his possible solution that's in the
firmware that ships with 6.5.

Yesterday a friend visited me and he had also a Slimserver running on

Why is it so dificult to switch to another server?
Because you don't know the easy way: in the player's main menu press and
hold LEFT. You're then brought a menu where you can select any SlimServer

Updating (or backtracking) firmware complicated it for you, but usually

However, my impression is that 6.5b3 is very stable indeed so I
wouldn't hesitate in trying it out.

Can Slimdevices, Squeezebox, tune in and work with Premium TV accounts

This does bring up an interesting question, though.
Why does Slimserver downgrade the client software?
I understand why it upgrades, but should there in general be situations
where it is *required* to downgrade? I.e. Is Slimproto not backwards
compatible? Or some other part of the client?

Hmmm - difficulties here!
I've just installed the 6.5 final release on my PC. Switching the
Squeezebox to that was fine - it connected, updated firmware to 64(?),
and worked straight away.
When I connected back to SlimServer (6.3.1) on my QNAP, the player
firmware 'upgraded' again, to 55.
