IF you are still having problems with the Artists ending up as 0 (zero)
at the end of a scan try removing the MusicMagic Plugin.
I found that i had to remove the folder to get it to work properly.

After scanning for 8+ hours it shows no errors in the log file and has
completed properly. It now shows 7686 Albums, 54884 Songs and 3356

I'm running a late July 2007 Slimserver nightly update version. I find
that if I log into Rhapsody on my computer ( I have an account)
Slimserver is able to see my Rhapsody account, but if I try to play a
song from my Rhapsody account, I get a connection timed out error
message on the Squeezebox
I can't help directly, but I vaguely remember seeing someone had writing
a plug-in for this. I searched the forum with no joy. I'll attempt
another look after work if no one else remembers or can find it.

I currently have my Slimserver running off of my PC using Flac/mp3
files. I manage my library with MusicIP.
I'm thinking about switching my music server to to a 2001 Quicksilver
Mac and use Slimserver and MusicIP. My Music is stored/backed up in
external USB HDs. I plan on getting a USB2 card

planning on upgrading the RAM to a gig and buying a USB 2.0 card and
using that to run Slimserver. (about $130 bucks).

EDIT: If i take a single URL and play it with the Internet radio
function in slimserver it works fine. The problem is clearly due to a
problem for the slimserver to read the playlist, and not a connection
failure.

This may sound like a strange request, but after a pretty serious ear
infection and perforated ear drum a few years back, the hearing on my
right ear has been slightly reduced.
This is enough to skew all sound from a couple of stereo speakers
slightly to the left ... which can be annoying.

The Nokia N800 is being used by many SB users as a better remote
control, but it is a very capable system itself and many users are
developing s/w for it.

secondly, the SD team already takes parts and designs them into the SB,

do SS and an OS they could customize for SS, and make very lightweight.
Just a thought but my Squeezebox1 allows L / R adjustmentbut the
option doesn't appear on my SB3 -I presume this is a firmware thing
rather than a set up. Never bothered to investigate as I don't use it.

the router setup says is the LAN port IP address, so I think you were
right with that. Unfortunately it still doesn't work!
Regards the router having a DHCP server, I think it does, but

Same problem here - 0 artists after rescan. Right now I'm trying a full
rescan; if that doesn't work, I'll try the MusicMagic delete.
Interestingly, I noticed that if I browse albums and then open a
particular album, the artist is added to my artist list. So I'd only
have to open 2354 albums
