The source code is all available on svn. The builds were stripped of

have been seeing a pattern - i _think_.
if sync breaks (much rarer now), then it does so when BOTH the
following conditions are met:
- transitioning TO a vorbis file. higher bitrates seem to increase the
likelyhood of it

I'd be very suprised if it is not announced there - and it would be a
better announcement if they said it was shipping.

I agree. It looks like a digital picture frame from a few years ago. I
think it needs to be smaller, or have a bigger screen,even if it's a bit
more expensive. The Classic looks good on a shelf, this looks cheap.

Well even if you did get help from the CSR at SD I'd guess that would
be the very first question (and suggestion) from a properly trained CSR
that you must be running SC7.4.x for your Touch to function properly.

Not really - Slim Devices have always had an absolute policy of not
commenting on products before they are officially launched and Logitech
seems to take the same approach.
Before the Boom was launched, a retailer or sales rep dropped the bomb

to admit I don't use them very often as I have more laptops around than I
need).

If you're getting your tv from cable you really need cable cards. And
that means a pre-built WMS box (at least it did last time I checked).
Personally I use HD Tivos, they're very reliable, not particularly
expensive and work with cable cards pretty well. One thing to bear in
mind is that cable
I just bought the Squeeze Mobile app and it seems to work for me mostly
as it should. No problems with flac or anything. Several crashes.
Switching tracks often crashes it.
One oddity/annoyance is that when I restart the app I have to select

vendor, or at least be prepared to do so. Boxed product in your living
room or no, there is no announced Touch product, so you really have no
way of knowing for sure what you have.

my set up is a mac mini with an external 500 gig drive.
moca ethernet adapter for fast ethernet into the mini. and plenty of
ram.
i don't record anything. i just watch all shows from the web and so far
it's been a flawless system.

I feel the OP's pain.
My SB3 has been no problem, but the Controller I bought to go with it
gets worse with each update.
Sometimes it will be stuck on the Settings screen when I take it out of
the cradle. I then have to shut it down and restart to hopefully get it
