I have Screensaver when off set to Date and Time and Standby Font
set to standard and Power Off Brightness set

Yes with Vortexbox you should be able to install triodes plugin and
Spotify streaming should work then.
Unfortunately I cannot test it myself as Spotify is not available in
Germany - but as triodes plugin streams FLAC all should be fine.

The actual receiver. The only hardware that the official Logitech
Spotify plugin works is the Radio and the Touch. This is why Triode's

I discovered that the network switch my server was connected to was in
a strange state and dropping packets. After a reboot the problem now
appears to have been resolved. I suspect I may have to replace the
switch as a couple of years ago it stopped working for several weeks, I

I've just acquired some APE lossless files and was going to convert them
to flac. But first, does the SB system support APE in any way? I
gather that it might convert on the fly to flac before sending out to
the players.

Yes, SBS supports APE by converting it to Flac.
I would go ahead and convert them before adding them to the library.
There's no loss in quality and Flac is better supported by SBS.

I didn't have one incident of my problem for a week after installing a
USB Ethernet adapter in the EX470. Today I received the USB Gigabit
Ethernet adapter and installed it with no problems. My music transfers
are much speedier now. I can tell no difference
