not a supported music format. Had to explain that it was not a music

with Dolby Pro Logic II giving my stereo flac
tracks a surround sound feel. I know this is sacrilege to the
audiophiles and many others but I really like the sound from a

playing. The bit rate of the station is only 64 kbps CBR so perhaps that
was the reason the buffer was able to play back for such a long period
of time.

The connection always ceased transmitting about 5 minutes after I
disconnected in the past. I didn't know that it could play for long
periods after turning off the computer or with MySB

Thanks for the info. It really isn't a problem I just thought it was
unusual as I had thought the radio broadcasts were transmitting after
the computer shut down because of some kind of buffer in the Squeezebox

That's good as most of my players are the older style Classic and SB3

I am tempted to buy at relatively little cost an Android cell phone with
wifi to use as a remote for my Touch. I have no interest in using it as
a phone, I have never owned a cell phone before. My question is can I
somehow download the appropriate app to use it as a remote when I have

Question:
Perhaps a selfish thing, but for me also, the music is primarily my
entertainment and not intended for many others. On social occassions
when people come over I share my music but I rarely allow them at the
controls although I ask them what they would like to listen to.

I don't have a premium key and run Ubuntu. I archive (fingerprint) all
my MusiIP songs. I use MusicIP under WINE . I had it running under Linux
without WINE for a while but it involved installing really old versions
of JAVA and proved unreliable.

If the problems recurr there could be interference on the wrieless
network from other sources such as garage door openers, cordless phones
or microwaves. I had problems with interference from my cordless phone
and changing the wireless channel as Garym suggested worked
