Also, have you read epoch1970's observations on kernel tweaking and synchronisation performance a few posts about? If there are good settings to get a reliable synchronisation setup as standard then it might be nice to build these into the build image.

Yes, it does run on Windows as well, so an icon tying it visually to Linux or the RPi probably isn't a good idea. Nor is a laptop for similar reasons. Probably best that it's something generic. paulster's Profile:

I saw in another thread here (the EDO one maybe?) that there is a driver available for the HiFace 1 on Linux now and somebody compiled it for the Touch. If that's the case then this could possibly work on the Off-Ramp and other interfaces/DACs using that chipset. That would be good news.
