I can confirm that flac is gapless, though if you set up synchronization
between Squeezeboxen then there will be a slight gap due to the sync
process.

opposite direction button also causes it to jump back a double jump, as
though it's something to do with the displayed info.
I agree that it needs sorting as when it happens it's a RPITA
especially if you know the next entry in the menu is the one you want
to select.

that the dispay dims whilst using the
SqueezeNetwork, when I prefer my display to run at full brightness all
the time.

did notice is that when I activated it the wireless signal strength
dropped from 90%+ to around 75%.
Anyway, it may be worth checking it out if your router has this
function.

they sound like though, but it's an extra option to think about.

permanently.
I don't know whether something like this could be done, but I thought
I'd mention it as a possible streamlining idea for the future.
