The free tools at the following will do all you need and more. I did
about 700 CD's worth of APE to FLAC files a couple of years ago with
these tools when I first got an SB2:

First computer at work ran the CPM O/s and I (tried) to write the odd
program in MS Basic! First real programs on CPM were 'Wordstar' and
'Supercalc'!
Now looking forward to old age with my SB's!

I don't use iTunes, rather glad actually as it seems too cause so many
problems!
Sorry it's not helping you but perhaps someone using iTunes can confirm
wether or not it works.

I have very few singles but use a dummy artist name of 'Misc' so they
get shown with the artists full albums.

size and Monkey's Audio may get
around 50%.
As these formats are lossless there is no difference in the playback
between them and the original WAV - you just save a lot of disk space.
