Actually, that would be the GeoTools and GeoServer Programme Steering/Management committees, both of whom welcome contributions - http://docs.geotools.org/latest/developer/procedures/contribute.html & http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/introduction/gettinginvolved.html There are several comp

NASA is working to advance GeoServer to accommodate GeoPackage. We are certainly glad to share ALL of our work in order to benefit GeoServer and the larger community. For that to occur, if GeoTools is interested in coordinating with us to accomplish that, we would be delighted. -Patrick (650)

You know that the latest GeoServers use GeoPackages as core datastores? See http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Crazy-idea-what-about-GeoPackage-straight-in-core-for-2-12-td5329361.html for the discussion. But please do pitch in with both GeoServer and GeoTools dev we always welcome new developers

Our GeoPackage work to facilitate that via GeoServer is extensive and carefully architected. And we’ve discovered some other good things that would certainly advance GeoServer. https://github.com/NASAWorldWind/WorldWindServerKit NASA is prepared to work with someone close to GeoServer for these

Switching this to the GeoServer Devel list. We always encourage people to discuss major changes to GeoServer to discuss them here before they start as there is a much better chance of it being accepted into the code base and to avoid over lapping and wasted work. Patrick, please let us know what

Ian, Got some deadlines these next couple days, hopefully our team will get to your request later this week. But it is all there to see on the Github website, with the primary effort being an ‘easy install’ of GeoServer and ‘great packaging’ of GeoPackage. ☺ I’m sure anyone qualified, and look

Just so we’re clear – the geopackage stuff in WWSK is a fork of (i.e. copy from) the community modules in geotools and geoserver. For example, see https://github.com/NASAWorldWind/WorldWindServerKit/blob/develop/worldwind-gs-geopkg/src/test/java/gov/nasa/worldwind/gs/geopkg/GeoPackageGetMapOutput

Brad, Life is work! We have not suggested “changes. . .just be taken from WWSK.” We have done quite a bit of work to get GeoPackage working with GeoServer. I believe it is good work. We are glad to work with someone who would like to take the lead in benefitting from our experience and incorpo

Patrick, Please don’t misunderstand – I’m happy that NASA does great things with open source. I did have a quick look at the difference on the GeoTools GeoPackage fork, and it looks like there are some useful fixes in GeoTools that WWSK doesn’t have, and some fixes in WWSK that GeoTools
