Interesting - must be some kind of bug. I renamed all my album art
files from cover.jpg to album.jpg and have cleared/re-scanned the
library.
Problem persists however - very odd
I'm not surprised at all, frankly. Changing the filename doesn't really
change anything aside

There should be a message related to slimserver at the time of the crash.

Ok - I cleared the log and recreated the error to be sure of getting the

Thanks, everyone, for your help. Skunk, your suggestion led to a

Now, kdf: are you saying that you would go back and uncheck the box to

I cannot stand, nor ever support the idea of hiding the extensions in the
windows UI. Keep them shown, you'll be better off for it in more
Caught the tail end of this thread - not sure what OS you are using

turned off itunes and everything came back. I still like using itunes
as I can transfer my playlists but at least now I know the problem is

The file name was just cover or thumb, even though they were .jpeg

I actually did that for a couple of files before a total rescan, but
the art still did not show up. I'll try doing some others. Is there
an easy way to accomplish this, or do I
OK, just did a quick test and did the 'cover.jpeg' and it worked
right off the bat. Is there any other way or better yet if I have to
go that route is there a way to change all the 'cover.jpg' to
'cover.jpeg'. I'm sure there is but unfortuneately I am a little

This is clearly a bug in the Nokia 770 skin since the others seem to

Let me back track - changing to 'cover.jpeg' may have been a one off
situation because it didn't work on any others that I did. I did as kdf
suggested (debug and wipe) and I got some artwork but not all. Worked
prior to 6.5 but only picks up some

OK I'll take your point. Its just that I've got over 600 albums and am
using iTunes, so this adds quite a lot of work and another level of
complexity.
Instead of just adding the new album to iTunes and attaching the cover
art, I'll then have to save a copy of the cover art in the
