Just getting into this program. Looks really FB! This marks the very first
time (aside from contest logs) that I've done them electronically. At this
point, I'm still in the beginning stages of entering fairly sizeable amounts
of off line QSO data. While doing this, I've run across

I have made a selection called OH DXCC which contains all the calls
(groups) I have used in OH-land. While in France I made a selection

cycles??? I have to keep turning up the BW to 2400hz or so.
What can I do to correct this?

No you don't run out of groups if you use the same group for the same
contest each year. If you want to look at a specific year just apply a
date filter for the group.

until another new spot. That is normal and that is not the problem.

Hmm, further more I would have assigned a group for each callsign.
Otherwise it becomes difficult to identify which call you made the QSO
with. If you want to look at France as a selection then just make a
selection/filter that contains the groups/callsigns you used in that
situation.

bands you are interested in.
In the DXCC matrix you now have; if you double click on an entry; the QSO is
shown in the log window ! Go find the QSL !!!

Seems that this very problem has been addressed a year and a half ago.
Searching the archives I found in June 2005 persons having this very
problem. Though version 7.02 says the bug was fixed it is obvious it was
not. I have not looked earlier or later than June 2005 for further posts

This is how dx4win works.
When you are real time logging and from the moment
you hit f9 with radio on .When a spot is coming it changed a few seconds to
that spot
mode and band while checking your log to see you need it or not !Nothing
happens
with the radio and after 2 seconds
John I think it is working ok. You are correct that the grayed boxes
follow the packet spots but I think you will find that once you start to
enter a call into the callsign box the next time the radio is polled the
grayed entries will match the radio and remain correct until you enter
the QSO and

Kenwood TS-930SAT or my Yaesu Mark V. My two month old Orion II is doing
this and one other person beside myself that I know of is having this band
mode change in the qso window. hmm.

Under Filepreferences QSO tab there is a choice cw cut frequency click on
this and modify your settings. I have already done this as iaru 1 band plan
is different and dx4win comes with usa standards.

I believe I have read there is a com port speed issue with the Orion II.
Some Orion IIs actually run closer to 56000 not 57600 like they are
supposed to. Judging from what you are reporting, it might be worth
trying to change the comport speed in DX4WIN.
File|preferences|radio|baudrate,
John, tell us the answer to this simple test.
Turn off the packet spots, now does DX4WIN follow band/mode changes on
the radio correctly and how fast does it follow them?
