you can play back him on the air with no problems.
But if I remember correctly, the received/recorded audio passes thru
your TX equalizer, so the remote station hears how he sounds with your
own tx equalizing applied on it.

I set my tune power to 15 watts, as this runs the 100 watt PA close to
minimum output during tuning. And 15 watts also gives me very good tuning

This is more a educational question. When using the manual notch to take out
a constant carrier, I can see the notch take out the carrier on the DSM780
waterfall however, the carrier is still visible on the P3 waterfall. Just
wondering why you can't see the same notch effect in the P3 waterfall.
This is because the P3 waterfall is taken from the IF output. The notch is done
with the DSP on the 15KHz IF, not the 8215KHz IF.

I am up to page 64 of the assembly instructions for my K2 serial 7059. When
performing the VCO Alignment, I started off with a reading of 8.2 volts. When
adjusting L30 I got no changes at all, although the directions call for
adjusting the slug until 6 volts is obtained.

is not close to 4 volts, then you need to check the thermistor board for
solder bridges.

The macros that I've saved as M1-M4 hold are executing when I tap any of
the four buttons.
My M1 hold macro which is to go to split mode up 2, turn on the
subreceiver, and set CW bandwidths for the main receiver and subreceiver is

That makes perfect sense to me. When you tell send someone what they sound like
at your end it should sound like what you hear.
When one is using an equalizer they should make sure when they send someone a
sample of what they hear, they tell the recipient the recording was made post

I am helping a friend track down some RF noise that is riding on the Cable TV
line. From CableONE TV and internet service.
This noise is wiping out his 75/80 meter band.

Take a transistor AM radio to Wal-Mart and walk past the TV sets. When you
get near a plasma you will hear it. The LCDs are fairly quiet. Plasma set
noise comes right off the screen and is strong enough to be heard for some
distance. The only cure is to unplug the TV. They even radiate
