Interesting question, Charles. I just plugged my INTREPID into my K3's KEY jack and got only dits, no dahs. All of my other bugs work properly. All of my bugs - including the INTREPID - work properly when connected to my external keyer (Begali CW Machine) which I use instead of the K3

I've never been into any mode other than CW, but this morning I tried RTTY and PSK31 on the KX3 for the first time. I too was very impressed. Very well implemented on the KX3 and I particularly like being able to use the CW paddle for input. I don't like being tied to the computer for this work

Each individual character will be sent at the correct baud rate no matter what the CW speed. But if you use the message buffers, characters are guaranteed to be sent out back to back, as if you were sending a brag tape from a computer application. (I.e., 60 WPM for RTTY.) This means you

The driver installation is suspect. Part of install is publishing the port. I got my drivers from Windows Update. Can you roll back driver install, ten plug the KXUSB in and your system find the driver from Windows Update? Do you have any other FTDI devices that may have installed a different
