I’m doing exactly the same thing except my win 7 desktop still running win 7. I’ve only got ham applications on it and have no timing issues with cw. I did buy a MORTTY to offload the cw timing, but haven’t set it up yet. https://hamprojects.info/mortty/ 73, Josh W6XU Sent from my iPad > On

Hi Brian, I use a Winkeyer between the radio and the PC and that takes care of the timing issue. Works great! Bert VE3NR On 2022-10-14 17:39, Brian Hunt wrote: I have been using a USB-to-serial converter cable for connection between the K3 and computer running N1MM+. I use DTR keying on

I might add that the computer is an old Win7 desktop running Win10. Definitely not a powerhouse. :-) 73, Brian, K0DTJ > On Oct 14, 2022, at 14:40, Brian Hunt wrote: > > I have been using a USB-to-serial converter cable for connection between the > K3 and computer running N1MM+. I use DTR

I have been using a USB-to-serial converter cable for connection between the K3 and computer running N1MM+. I use DTR keying on the K3 with VOX and QSK on. This leaves the K3 internal keyer and paddle free to use at a different speed for fills, etc. I have noticed the CW timing from the

The K3S has a RS232 and USB port, I believe the original K3 only came with a RS232 port. Definitely using a Winkeyer is great for sending CW! John KK9A Mike Dodd N4CF wrote: Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] On 10/14/2022 11:59 AM, Lee Hiers wrote: > My method is

I have a K3 that has got just a little bit deaf. It´s like this, on 28 MHz it´s about 17 dB down, on 24 MHz 13 dB, on 21 MHz 7 dB. 14 MHz and down just about nothing. Guess it still can be D25. I will swap it with my second K3 and start to repair it tomorrow. If someone has had anything similar
