It's only an advantage when you're trying to ward off a key clicking

is no advantage. In any case, you are just being a jerk (or worse) if

Again, this would be a display-only application, using up as little pc

It's easy.
Are there issues? There's one obscure issue that I know of that probably
won't impact anybody but me. LP-Bridge does not pass !BExx (dsp direct)
macros from N1MM Logger to the K3. That's the only issue I've encountered.

never had this issue - you were free to control split at the rig
and Logger tracked it.
Whether or not the K3 CAT API has been enhanced to make it easier to read
the split state, Logger isn't supporting it yet.

lies. Perhaps if
someone could lend a K3 to K3CT, he could fully support the K3 in N1MM
Logger. Unfortunately not all K3's own a K3 ;-)

is the
latest and Reset RX freq to TX when QSO is logged (RUN Split) is
NOT working if you manually put the K3 into split mode, call cq, tune
off freq to pick up a caller and log the qso. VfoA will stay off freq
instead of being matched to vfoB as it should and as it works on other
radios.

that the subreceiver is NOT identical to the main
receiver (most probably an inferior upconverted rx), which was a fundamental
flaw of the Ten-Tec Orion.

If anyone on the reflector is using the K3 with an SDR-IQ as
panadaptor and CW Skimmer software - please contact me directly if you
can share your configuration setup. Much appreciated.

What is K3's AM transmit audio bandwidth?
For AM receive, I get amazing AM receive audio using LP-Pan plus Winrad or
Power-SDR.

to the first question is yes. You use split transmit
mode and then vfoB will control both the tx and subrx. N1MM Logger
supports this mode of operation (SO2V) in the K3 without too many
wrinkles.

The low end response of the stock K3 is limited by coupling capacitor
impedance in the audio stage.
