[Elecraft] KXPA100 70 to 80w out Max with KX3 drive at 15W??? Fixed!

I fixed my issue. Here was what I did so others who might have this problem can see the solution. First, I was 1 firmware revision behind on my KX3, so I updated that. Then I reset my KXPA100 to factory default settings with the KXPA100 software utility. I noticed I still wasn't getting full

In more troubleshooting, I'm finding that when I switch my KX3 to PA mode ON, the KX3 is only putting out around 2 to 3 watts output to the KXPA100. But then when I swtich the PA mode to off and change the power button to 5 to 15W output, the correct amount of RF is output from the KX3. Is there

I don't have anything that would draw 20A's, but I do have an FT-891 and I think the power supply is good. FT-891 puts out 98W on full key down with PS reading around 15.3A output in the same setup as the KX3/KXPA100. Kyle __ Elecraft

PS is showing 12.7A at 13.9V output on full keydown. That is with the KX3 powered from the back of the KXPA100. Kyle That power supply should be adequate, if it's working properly. Bert VE3NR On 2022-10-18 9:26, Kyle Krieg wrote: >* Astron SS-30M-AP *>>>* What Astron power su

Hello all, I used my KXPA100 this past weekend and noticed some lower than normal output on both SSB and CW. Sitting on the bench today I've noticed that I'm only putting out around 70 to 80W max where I used to push close to 100w in previous outings. I tested the drive of the KX3 to find that

Hello all. I've looked through the help topics and didn't see my issue asked or resolved, so I'll ask it here, as I'm a digital newbie... Using up to date fldigi on a Windows Vista laptop. Signalink USB modem. KX3. Hamlib for rig control within fldigi. I hook everything up, put the radio in

Bob, Thanks for you reply. Here are my mixed results. Some of these items are solved. 1) My lower limit was set to 0, so I bumped it up to 100hz. It removed a small sliver of waterfall on the left hand side, but kept the large black gap between 0 and ~600hz. Not sure if that is the way

All, hopefully someone can tell me what I'm seeing is expected behavior, as I've only had my KXPA100 attached to a end fed antenna at my house since I got it and it's work great. Yesterday I took the KXPA100 and KX3 out for field day. We used two antennas, a Alpha Antenna vertical and a GR8V
