Could use some help on storing/recalling the quick memories for the KX2.
Whenever I try to start the procedure by holding down the STORE key it reverts
to an already stored 'number' memory (e.g.5) and doesn't allow me to store the

Do you have a K3S by any chance. My K3S actually transmits a signal
when in TEST mode! When I told Elecraft about it, they shrugged their
heads like it can't be.
The TX power appears both on my P3 (with TX MON showing both PEP and
SWR), and also my LP-100A wattmeter. It's only
Elecraft to witness this (and yes, I
will include the bandpass filter), but rumor has it that their repair
center is backlogged and it's too close to contest season to risk being
without. My K3S works fine except for these problems.

I'd like to use VOX on digital modes, but never on phone and I see no
way to set it up by mode such that the gain can be set to a certain
value on phone (000), but higher on digital modes. Am I correct? Yes,

Sometime back, a FW update has the Tuner following as you tune. You don't
have to tx. Put tuner into manual
Easter.

to hit split so xmit is on VFO B.
2. Permits perusing the cacophony of pileup callers with the larger, more
easily used large VFO A knob.

My feature request is for a 500 W mobile version of the KPA500. I think
the Mississippi company is the only one making a 500 watt mobile amp now.
Seems like there is an opportunity to be had. I would gladly donate my
ALS-500 to Wayne and Eric so they could see how not to build one.

the meantime I use the KAT500. Its all to frustrating to be in a QSO and
have it act up. It kind of behaves like the KAT500 did before they upgraded
the firmware. I am sure they will get around to taking care of it.

I've run into several occasions where in mid-CW
I am running the latest firmware. And it does it in manual mode also. Maybe
Elecraft does need to see it.
