then I have built 6 of them for various friends.
Sold my personal K2 in 2009 because I got real sick.
Build another one last year but it turned
Elecraft does post information on new versions of the firmware,
although it isn't 100% of the time. Ditto with hardware
upgrades. I just fire up my K3 utility program and ask it to
download new firmware from Elecraft as a way of ensuring I have
the latest and greatest.

expecting my K3 early next week. It is clearing through Customs at present.

It may just be me but I've noticed a HUGE increase of these hacked
e-mail postings this weekend. Not just on this reflector but many
others too and private e-mail as well. Two of my friends got hacked
already today.

for Libya, and the other one he used, .mp, is from the Northern Marianas
Islands. Emails from unknown parties from such obscure entities are a huge
warning flag. The Nigerian Scam doesn't live oonlly in Nigeria.

If the thermal pads for the PA transistors were replaced then you DO
need to re-tighten the screws after 10 - 12 hours of use. Check with
the technician who serviced and updated your K2 to see if they were replaced.

Hello K1 builders,
maybe one of you can help. I am just building a K1-4 and I am in trouble
now. The kit passed all the alignment test till receiver alignment. Even
using a transceiver on a dummy load I couldn't find a signal. I hear a
strong noise but can't find a signal, even with a piece
