You will find a short article on adding a 64 key pad to the K3 for macro
selection. It assumes you have a P3 as well.
About 1/2 way down the post is a down-loadable spread sheet of macros,
they don't give you exactly what

I would also like that very much, and for the same reasons...
I've built countless macros for controlling many things in the K3(s),
P3, and now KPOD, but there is one command that is either lacking or I
can't seem to locate it. Help me here.
I need a "wait" command that would allow the macro title to appear on
the VFO-B display for a defined time limit
In addition to the previous reply ... assuming your intent is to switch
between the front mic and Line In (Macro 1 selects the mic, Macro 2
selects Line), you do not need *three* UP;/DN; commands ... only two.
The extra commands should not be an issue. However:
Macro 1: MN053;DN;DN;MN255;

Are the first entries MNO53; (letter "oh") or MN053; (number 0)?
Is the last character of Macro 2 a ":" (colon) or a ";" (semi-colon)?

I have adapted the SPLIT+2 macro to include locking the VFO A knob, and have
made the macro to be a toggle for PF1 to SPLIT+2 then UNSPLIT to return the

Had a situation this morning where my two macros started giving me goofy
responses, and eventually would lock up my K3. The K3 still worked OK, and all
was cleared up with a power off/on. I couldn't get the macros to work
consistently, no matter what I tried, including the 'soft' reset'. So, I

Jim,
Why are you re-doing the macro in a continuous loop?
More specific, why do you have the SWH45 and SWH47 included in the macro.
If you assign the first macro to PF1, and then initiate it with a hold
of PF1. it will execute the MD3, then BW0040, but when it sees the
SWH45, it will start all
Good catch Don. I missed that one!

Jim,
You can imbed switch actions into macros, but not the same switch that
the macro is assigned to - that will result in a continuous loop.

I know this is an early version of the firmware, but I find getting the macros
set up is not very user friendly or intuitive. Recalling what you have set up
requires a cheat sheet. Two button pushes for a macro to come up seems to be
excessive.

this on the Subject line.
I have successfully programmed Macros into my K3 from the USB keyboard,
but I agree there are limitations with the documentation. However, do
bear in mind that it is beta firmware and any
